Recipes

Are you looking to keep it local and enjoy a BBQ with friends and family? Here are a few fun side recipes to add to your table!

Cowboy Caviar

When I say that I found this recipe, a few weeks ago and have made it every week since, I am not kidding. This is a crowd favorite among my friends, and it is easy to alter (I sub the black eyed peas for pinto beans) and adjust based on the needs for your guests! Additionally, this pairs wonderfully with the Elote chips from Trader Joes. Whenever I make this recipe, it is never in the house for more than a day!

Greek Potatoes

Potato salad is a recipe of the past for me. These Greek potatoes are crispy and yet very refreshing. Consider updating your potato salad for these. The are delicious with a tzatziki on top!

Layered Mocktail

Looking for a new mocktail for friends and family. This drink is so great it doesn’t need the kick of alcohol! It is perfectly sweet and festive and a great option for everyone!

If you are looking for something a little simpler, consider trying a flavored club soda, with a little simple syrup, blueberries and muddled strawberries!

Strawberry Shortcake

There is something so refreshing about a strawberry shortcake in the summer. The sweetness of the strawberries and the fresh whip cream are to die for. I like my strawberry shortcake to be firmer and more like a biscuit. However, strawberry shortcake, can pair wonderfully with poundcake or angel food cake as well!

Watermelon Salad

Watermelon can be so refreshing in the summer; this salad keeps your table light and fresh.

If you are not feeling a salad, consider dicing your watermelon and adding seasoning salt it gives you the great barbeque flavor with the refreshing watermelon.

However, you choose to spend the weekend. We hope you have a wonderful weekend!
