Happy Pride Month, this month is a great to time to celebrate the liberation of LGBTQIA+ members! If you are looking for the history of Pride Month, check out our last year’s article!  Whether you choose to go to the city and celebrate, stay local or celebrate from home, here are some great activities to celebrate the end of Pride Month!

San Francisco Pride Parade and Celebration

Date: Saturday, 6/25/22 and Sunday 6/26/22

Info: Check out SF’s 52^nd annual pride parade. It is a fun outing and great way to learn some history about pride! The route starts west along Market Street, starting from Beale Street and ending past the Grandstand at 8th Street. The parade begins at 10:30 am and goes on until around 4 pm to conclude at the Civic Center. For more information about the parade click here!

BARC Pride Pub Run

Date: Thursday, June 23^rd

Info: Looking to get active this pride month? Join BARC (Bay Area Running Crew) in celebrating the diversity within our local running community at our annual Rainbow Run. Additionally they will also be raising funds to support The Trevor Project, the world’s largest LGBTQ youth suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization. 

Queer History Walking Tour

Date: Wednesday, June 22^nd

Info: Looking to learn more history about the LGBTQIA+ community? Take a tour on the Lower East Side of San Francisco, it is an international crossroads of communities which existed well before the dawn of a queer liberation movement and have continued into the post-Stonewall period.

ONLINE: Celebrate Pride Mindfully

Date: June 25^th 10:00AM-4:00AM

Info: Looking to celebrate from the  comfort of your own home? Look no further, the online pride gathering focuses on mindfulness & self-compassion through a multigenerational lens. There will be a queer and multi-gender panel of teachers to guide you through.

SIFF Presents: Virtual Film Jump Darling

Date: June 25^th

Info: Looking for another virtual event, SIFF Celebrates PRIDE with its SIFF Saturdays monthly virtual film series. June’s feature is 2022 SIFF Film Festival gem — JUMP, DARLING. Available to view on demand from Saturday, June 25 at 9 AM through Monday, June 27 at 9 AM.

Silicon Valley Pride Week

Date: August 22nd and August 28^th
